An Abacus Data report published September 27 puts the Liberals at 46 per cent and Conservatives at 34 per cent among committed voters, excluding undecided respondents. The NDP received nine per cent and Bloc Québécois seven per cent. The 12-point Liberal lead compares with 14 points in the previous survey.

The poll recorded 60 per cent approval for the federal government. Cost of living was selected by 63 per cent as one of their three top issues, while approval of the government’s housing performance stood at 33 per cent.

Abacus surveyed 2,744 Canadian adults through partner online panels from September 18 to 23, 2026, and funded the research itself. Results were weighted by age, gender, education and region. Its stated 1.87-point comparison concerns a probability sample of equivalent size, not a conventional margin of error for this panel. The findings measure opinion during the survey period rather than forecast an election result.
